Short bio

I am working as Research Scientist in AI Innovations Research Group at NEC Laboratories Europe, Heidelberg, Germany.

I obtained my Ph.D. in computer science (Machine Learning) from Université de Lyon, Lyon. I worked under the guidance of Prof. Massih-Reza Amini at LIG, Grenoble and Dr. Emilie Morvant at LaHC, CNRS, Saint-Etienne. During my Ph.D., I was actively involved in ANR LIVES Project (Learning with Interacting ViEwS). Before that, I did my Masters in Computer Science from ENSIMAG, Grenoble INP, France (2014-2015).

You can find more information in my CV or on my LinkedIn Profile .

Experience

Research Scientist

NEC Laboratories Europe, Heidelberg, Germany October, 2018 - present

As a part of AI Innovations Research Group, I am working on multiple Business Unit projects and EU Project COREALIS.

Doctoral Researcher

LIG, Grenoble and LaHC, Saint-Etienne, France November, 2015 - October, 2018

I completed my Ph.D. under the guidance of Prof. Massih-Reza Amini at LIG, Grenoble and Dr. Emilie Morvant at LaHC, CNRS, Saint-Etienne. I worked on multiview learning problem and proposed 3 novel multiview learning algorithms using PAC-Bayesian theory and ensemble learning.

Data Science Engineer

Cube26, Delhi, India August, 2015 - October, 2015

As a part of Data Science team, I developed algorithms for aggregation of similar news articles from different sources and finding the appropriate advertisement banners for the news articles for Neon News android application.

Research Intern

Laboratoire d'Informatique de Grenoble (LIG), Grenoble, France February, 2015 - June, 2015

I did my Masters thesis at AMA team, LIG, Grenoble under the guidance of Prof. Massih-Reza Amini. I designed and developed an algorithm for learning information retreival models’ parameters using transfer learning approach from a labeled source collection to an unlabeled target collection.

Software Developer

Pyramid Cyber Security & Forensics, Delhi, India May,2014 - August, 2014

Designed and developed an algorithm to detect frauds (made using erasable ink pens) in back cheques for Punjab National Bank, India. This project was in collabration with Dr. Gaurav Gupta at IIIT, Delhi, India.

Research Intern

University of Hyderabad, Hyderabad, India May,2013 - July, 2013

Designed and developed an algorithm to find number of clusters in short text documents using Ncut-term weighing scheme and spectral clustering (under the guidance of Prof. Arun K. Pujari).

Google AdCamp

Google, India June,2013 - June, 2013

Selected to participate in 4 day Google AdCamp taught by Google sales leaders providing in-depth introduction to the Google's advertising sales operations and client products (including AdWords, YouTube, and Mobile)

Developer Intern

Defence Research and Development Organisation, India May,2012 - July,2012

I worked at INMAS Laboratory, Delhi . I designed and developed an interactive intranet portal for leave management system and document dispatch system.
